Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another press for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • By sending the original in the submission form I authorize the Open Access Digital Publication with the license CC BY NC ND. (The press gives preference to the publication of their works in this way, making it immediately available at the time of completion). If you do not allow this, please contact the Press.
  • The submission file is in the Microsoft Word, RTF, or OpenDocument file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Press.

Author Guidelines

 

Introduction

These instructions were written to help you prepare your work for the Coimbra University Press. Their purpose is to ensure that the published book will have the graphic appearance intended by IUC and can go through the pre-press and printing phases quickly and efficiently.

The publisher estimates an average period between 8 and 12 months for the publication of the work since the date of delivery of the document (final version). This period may vary depending on the publisher's annual schedule.

 

 

Document Submission

The documents must be delivered in digital format through the Monograph Management System, according to the following standards for both text and figures.

With the delivery of the work, the author undertakes to submit the duly completed original delivery form.

Standards for bibliographic references

When the same author is cited more than once in the bibliographical references, instead of the name he should appear "-".


References and bibliographical citations must be prepared in accordance with one of the following standards:

NORMA NP 405
NORMAS DA APA (AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION)

Proofreading

During the proofreading phase, the correction signals according to NP-61 - Download Map of Corrections - should be used.
